On November 14, the New Short Fiction Series will feature stories from Kirsten Menger-Anderson‘s debut collection, Doctor Olaf van Schuler’s Brain, just out on Algonquin Books. A curious and compelling book ranging from 1664 to the present day, and set against the backdrop of a volatile and ever-changing New York City, Doctor Olaf‘s interconnected stories trace the flawed efforts of van Schuler and his descendants to understand and heal the mysterious human creature.
